Chapter Eleven

Hale spends time with Merrick Malone and gets behind the wheel for the first time in Merrick‘s hot rod truck.

Chapter Ten

Hale tells Charlotte about the curse, and Evan is determined to figure out how to make crack cocaine.

Chapter Nine

Hale feels the wrath of Evan and flees to miss Macy’s house where he and Charlotte decide they are more than friends.

Chapter Eight

Hale goes to work for Merrick Malone, and they begin building a hot rod and a relationship.

Chapter Seven

Charlotte enrolls in school and reunites with Hale, who has to defend her on day one.

Chapter Six

Merrick Malone offers to give Hale a job and promises not to talk about the curse. Macy and Charlotte go into Dawsonville and enroll in Dawson County Schools.

Chapter Five

Dawn welcomes Hale home, but unfortunately, so does Evan.

Chapter Four

Charlotte moves in with Miss Macy and discovers farm life, befriends Toby, and gives herself permission to feel again.

Chapter Three

Hale and Charlotte meet at the hospital and realize they have more in common than just sticking out.

Chapter Two

Charlotte loses everything in the same night, and goes to sleep in the hospital and a different world.
